With the early access Steam release of their first title, the poker-based competitive game Hands of Victory, right around the corner, Aftermath Interactive are ramping up their ambitions by acquiring a fantasy sports platform. The platform will be enhanced by modular capabilities already used in the studio’s platform for card-based games DealR and be rebranded as SportR.
The seller, Swedish sports media house and daily fantasy sports developer Fsport AB, will receive equity in the studio and will take an active role in the development of the new game.
What makes Hands of Victory appealing – and what will make the new game(s) equally appealing in its genre – is a combination of novel game mechanics; an operating model that naturally incorporates both free-to-play and real money play, a legal status as a game of skill and a growth model that combines the best of two worlds.

Similar to Hands of Victory, the studio’s vision is to bring a sports prediction based game to the competitive video game arena alongside shooters, fighting games, competitive card games and PvP strategy games.

The combined market of real money DFS games and related social/F2P games is estimated as being north of 15 billion USD.
NOTE: The deal is conditioned on receiving board approvals on both sides. These approvals are scheduled to be received by June 5, 2025.
